EXHIBITION ON SCREEN SERIES: I, CLAUDE MONET
( 2017 87 min.)
Artist Claude Monet not only painted the picture that gave birth to impressionism, he was perhaps the most influential and successful painter of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Shot on locations throughout Europe at the very spots Monet painted---and based on his numerous letters---here is a gripping tale of a man who, behind his sun-dazzled canvases, suffered from feelings of depression, loneliness, even suicide. However, as his art developed and his love of gardening led to the glories of his Giverny garden, his humor, insight and love of life are revealed.
Tickets are $12 and $10 for Members.
Our EXHIBITION ON SCREEN SERIES brings blockbuster art exhibitions from galleries around the world to your local non-profit cinema, in stunning high definition. We will be showing three of these films this spring and we look forward to continuing the series this fall!
Red River is the best cinematic experience that my wife and I have ever had – viewing angle, sound, seating, snacks, staff, web site are top shelf, and the movie selections themselves are talked about for days.
My favorite place to see a movie. I always know that whenever I drop in to Red River Theatres, I’ll have a great cinematic experience.
