GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN

(PG 2017 107 min.)

The life of playwright/author A.A. Milne's son, Christopher Robin, is affected by his father's emotional distress (linked to WWI experiences), a self-indulgent socialite mother and the tremendous success of the Winnie the Pooh books. Creating iconic characters might seem like a writer's dream, but for the Milne family, especially Christopher, it came at a cost---the loss of privacy and unwanted exploitative fame. A tender script, delicate direction and a marvelous Will Tilston (playing the boy at age 8) make this surprisingly bittersweet tale worthy of your time and attention.
