In 1957, Jane Goodall, an English secretary, was judiciously selected to study chimpanzees in Tanzania. She proved to be a brilliant researcher and the world she encountered was a mix of awesome beauty and frequent brutality. Writer/directer Brett Morgen got access to over 100 hours of "rediscovered" footage (tucked away for years in a National Geographic vault) documenting her observations, beautifully photographed by Hugo van Lawick, and to the 83-year-old Goodall, who personally narrates this very arresting imagery.

Red River is the best cinematic experience that my wife and I have ever had – viewing angle, sound, seating, snacks, staff, web site are top shelf, and the movie selections themselves are talked about for days.
My favorite place to see a movie. I always know that whenever I drop in to Red River Theatres, I’ll have a great cinematic experience.
