Filmmaker Jay Craven will join us for a dinner
and post-film discussion!
The
Gilmanton Year-Round Library Association Presents the Belknap
County Premiere of Disappearances.
Disappearances, based on the book by Howard
Frank Mosher and adapted by Vermont filmmaker Jay Craven, unfolds
in VT.’s Kingdom County in 1932 and tells a spellbinding
tale of frontier spirit with a strong connection to the landscape.
Craven explores matters of character, family and fate with wise
restraint. The film stars Kris Kristofferson, Genevieve Bujold,
Gary Farmer and Luis Guzman.
Jay Craven, award winning writer and director will
introduce the film and lead a post-screening discussion. For the
movie enthusiast a dinner with the director is also planned, seating
is limited. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear first
hand the creative approach to filmmaking.
The film is rated PG13 Tickets $10.00 at the door
