Programming Sponsorships
Note: New programming opportunities emerge each month and films come along that could well merit an underwriting sponsor. If you are interested in a particular theme, a particular genre, or a special event, please talk to us.
“New Hampshire-made” Films (4/year)
One of the most exciting roles an art house can play is to be a venue for local artists. Opportunities for talented filmmakers in our state to screen their works are very limited and Red River Theatres welcomes quality filmmakers working in the industry to exhibit their works in our state-of-the-art auditoriums. Such films bring in a diverse audience, ranging from fellow townsmen, friends and kin, to artists and audiences who want to encourage those working in the film arts to settle and work in New Hampshire. Sponsorship wrecognition includes on-screen logo/name recognition in advance of each NH-made screening, a public thank you before each show and mention in all promotional materials for the NH-made film series.
- 4 @ $1250/ea or $5,000/yr
Documentary Films w/ filmmaker discussions (4/year)
Documentaries are by far the most popular genre of film in the independent film world. They give us an artfully-arranged glimpse of the real world—or a corner of it--from the perspective of one filmmaker. Having the opportunity to discuss the film with the filmmaker is a gratifying way of extending the film’s meaning and impact. Audiences tend to show up in droves if they know the filmmaker will be in the audience to answer questions after the show. Note: Our schedule of films with filmmakers is not set for the year. To date, we’ve screened a sell-out film For the Bible Tells Me So sponsored by PFLAG. Life.Support.Music, sponsored by Bernstein Shur and the Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire, will screen in August. Sponsorship recognition includes on-screen logo/name recognition in advance of each film event, a public thank you before each show and mention in all promotional materials for the series.
- 4 @ $2000/ea or $8,000/yr
Toddler Time
A 2-hour drop-in program for toddlers and caregivers one morning a week in our Jaclyn Simchik Memorial Cinema. Programming will include a collection of independently-produced short films appropriate for young ages, presented in a toddler-friendly environment. Children may move freely about the room or sit on floor cushions and caregivers will not have to worry about disrupting other film-goers. Child-friendly and healthy snacks will be made available at the Concession Stand. Sponsorship recognition includes weekly signage in the lobby and on the screen prior to the weekly show. Sponsors will also be mentioned in all promotional materials related to the Toddler Time program.
Senior Film Program
Red River Theatres offers a Tuesday afternoon matinee for seniors once a month. Red River Theatres would like to expand outreach to other senior organizations and keep the senior matinee ticket price at $5. Sponsorship recognition would include your name on a thank-you slide on the big screen before each matinee and sponsor mention in all promotional materials for the Senior Film Program.
Screenwriter Series: SPONSORED by NH Film & Television Office
Organized in conjunction with the New Hampshire Film and Television Office, this 3-part annual series is dedicated to fostering a forum for film writers to network with actors, investors and other artists interested in the craft of film-making.
This series invites three established screenplay writers to Red River Theatres to have their latest scripts read by professional actors with professional direction. Each reading will be attended by the writer and there will be an opportunity for discussion afterwards. This is a rare opportunity for audiences to hear the artistic conversation that goes on behind-the-scenes.
Community Conversations
Community Conversations is Red River Theatres’ platform for the public to talk about salient social issues and concerns (e.g., homelessness, immigration, societal violence, war), explored through the medium of film. This program doesn’t shy away from controversial subjects, though the films screened must always pass the filter of peer-review in the film community. Community Conversations are done with a local partnering non-profit or organization with expertise on the topic at hand and a. facilitated conversation with movie-goers follows each film. This series is free for members and $5 for the general public.
