Interim Executive Director Named to Run Red River Theatres
Connie Rosemont Has Been With RRT Since The Dream Began

The Board of Directors of Red River Theatres (RRT) is pleased to announce the selection of Connie Rosemont, of Concord, to serve as the theater’s interim Executive Director.

Connie Rosemont is a founding Board Member of Red River Theatres and has been significantly involved since 2001 in the ongoing effort to secure funding and attract public interest and participation towards the goal of bringing an independent movie theater to downtown Concord.

“We did not have to look very far to find the perfect candidate to fill the vital role of Executive Director as Red River moves forward in its first year of operation,” said Board President Emily Rice.  “Connie is a long-time dedicated Red River volunteer with Concord roots and a passion for film.  She has the skills and enthusiasm the Board was looking for to continue the positive momentum brought by Robbi Farschman to our mission of generating community support for this important cultural venture.”

As both a writer and community projects manager, Connie Rosemont has a proven record of success in developing non-profit organizations.  She has both a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Masters of Arts Degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.  In addition to her work with Red River Theatres, Connie was a founding member of the Somewhat North of Boston (SNOB) Film Festival in Concord and has written an award-winning play.

Connie Rosemont succeeds Red River Theatres Executive Director, Robbi Farschman, who will resign on March 4, 2008 to pursue other opportunities.  Farschman has been praised by the Board for her dedicated work in overseeing the construction and opening of Red River Theatres in October 2007.
