Red River Theatres Rental Information
Red River Theatres’ facility is warm, intimate and modern and our theaters provide a sophisticated atmosphere for receptions, parties, business meetings, private screenings and similar events.

The Screening Room
Our most popular and versatile space is the Jaclyn Simchik Memorial Cinema, a cozy, fan-shaped room with DVD and powerpoint capability.  The room seats 50, with movable chairs, which allows for a variety of set-up options.  Round and rectangular tables are also available, free-of-charge, for use in this room.

Auditoriums
Our 2 larger auditoriums, the Lincoln Financial Foundation Cinema (seats 156) andthe Stonyfield Culture Center (seats 109), have built-in sound systems, a lectern, film projection capabilities and 2 wireless mics.

Lobby
Our Lobby can be included with your rental; it has 3 bistro tables and 20 bistro chairs, a Concession Stand, our Box Office and a small gallery space.

Catering
Red River Theatres’ Concession Stand stocks fountain drinks, coffee, popcorn and candy and can be made available for any event.  Beyond this, we encourage renters to hire a caterer and we have a list of several that will offer a discount if you mention Red River Theatres.

Alcohol Policy
Red River Theatres is licensed to sell beer, wine and champagne.  If you would like alcohol at your event, it must be purchased through Red River Theatres and served by Red River Theatres staff.  If a staff bartender is to serve in the event room and not at the Concession Stand, there will be a $20/hour charge for the bartender. 

Rental Rates
Our rates are dependent on the time of year and the time ofday.  Our 2 large auditoriums are generally not available Friday and Saturday nights, though exceptions can be made.  As each rental is different, we encourage you to call us with your rental request and we can work out pricing and details that work for each situation.  Baseline rates are as follows:

Daytime:
Auditoriums:  $100/hour with a 2-hour minimum
Screening Room:  $75/hour with a 2-hour minimum

Evening: 
Auditoriums:  $250/hour Sunday-Wednesday; $300-500/hr Thurs-Saturday
Screening Room:  $125/hour with a 2-hour minimum

Film rental: 
If your event includes a special film screening, you may be responsible for a licensing fee.  Film licensing fees vary, but are generally in the $100-300 range.  Red River Theatres can make all arrangements for you, but you will be responsible for the film fees.  In addition, if you show a 35-mm film that is not currently playing in our theaters, you will be charged $100 for 4 hours of projectionist’s time.

Private Screenings:
Red River Theatres is happy to offer private screenings of any film currently playing in our theaters.  Prices vary depending on time of year and time of day, but our baseline rate is $200 per screening plus $5/person Sunday-Wednesday and $400 plus $5/person Thursday-Saturday.  Arrangements must be made at least 2 weeks in advance. 

Reservations:
Red River Theatres is happy to pencil in your reservation.  However, we will not hold a date beyond one week unless we receive a 50% deposit.  If another request for the same space comes in during your 1-week reservation, you will be contacted and asked to confirm the reservation by paying a deposit or lose it. 

Extras:
Red River Theatres is happy to provide the following items to you for your event, free-of-charge:  rectangular and/or round tables, 4 standing signframes (holds 11x17 paper); a sandwich board for street announcements and 2 easels.

For a small fee, Red River Theatres can also provide: Table linens ($15/each) and easel pads with markers ($10/each)
